Set in the heart of Hull, Victoria Dock is known for its friendly atmosphere, stunning surroundings and vibrant character. The popular destination has recently been the interest of landlords and tenants and with the City of Culture celebrations in full swing we’ve decided to sum up why we think Victoria Dock could be Hull’s upcoming favourite living destination of 2017.

Victoria Dock is located in a newly built area that’s only short walking distance to the centre of Hull. The position of Victoria Dock highlights city life however it also has elements of a rural setting with stunning scenery and beautiful views across the River Humber. As well as being located in a prime area, Victoria Dock is based close to the A63 which links easily to East Hull and the M62. With easy bus and transport access in and out of the area you will never be stuck of places to go.

Things to do

There’s always lots happening in and around Victoria Dock. With its key location being close to Hull’s popular Marina, you can enjoy a day a trip to Hull’s finest bars and restaurants including 1884 Dock Street Kitchen, Tapasya Indian Restaurant & Bar or Humber Dock Bar & Grill. You can also enthuse yourself with culture down Humber Street where there is plenty of city events and galleries open as well as a new rooftop bar! The prominent location is only a stone’s throw away from all of Hull’s high street stores and local businesses so you’ll never be stuck for things to do.

Victoria Dock is a popular living destination for tenants with young families however it is also a favourite with professionals. From our point of view – we think anyone would love to live here! The area of Victoria Dock consists of a village shop, pubs, takeaways and a school making it a reflection of Hull’s close city community.

Although it is newly developed, Victoria Dock also has a lot of history behind it including its historical royal visits and the story of how it became the first dock to be built East of the river Hull.  You can even take a 20 stop tour around the area to understand how it became what it is today.
