Whether you’re looking for a quirky café to grab a bite to eat or a unique fine dining experience, Hull has plenty of choice when it comes to drinking and eating places. We’ve narrowed it down and put together a selection of our favourite bars and restaurants around the City so you can fully immerse yourself within Hull’s food and drinking scene this summer.

Riverhouse Coffee Co.

If you’re looking for a place to head out for brunch Riverhouse Coffee co. provides an array of mouth-watering options. Located in Hull’s well known old town, the coffee house offers a taste of an American coffee shop experience through its premium drinks, fresh sandwiches and delicious homemade cakes. Owned by the award-winning street food business Shoot The Bull you can expect a multitude of high quality delicacies to join your morning coffee or lunchtime refuel. Check out their Instagram page here for a sneak peek of their tasty menu!

Barrow Boys

Whether you’re heading there to dine, drink or dance, Barrow Boys has become the go-to place on Hull’s fruit market and it’s much more than just your ordinary restaurant. Offering a selection of delicious dishes, fine cocktails and unique entertainment, we can see why it has become one of the most popular newest bars in Hull. Regular DJ’s, live dancers, comedy nights, acoustic talent and performing bands are regularly on the line up of Barrow Boys weekly events, offering something for everyone to enjoy all in a stylish, relaxing atmosphere. If you had no weekend plans, you certainly do now!

Bar 82

One of Hull’s favourite drinking hotspots, Bar 82 offers something for everyone with a selection of delicious food and beverage options in an elegant and modern setting. With an outdoor terraced area, the modern cocktail lounge provides the perfect venue for social outings in the summer months. If you’re into your martinis and daiquiris, you can even book in for a cocktail master class to learn how to make your favourites.

Tapasya, Marina

A change from your typical Indian restaurant, the award winning Tapasya sets itself apart from the usual fine dining outlets through a fusion of British and Indian cuisine that is perfected by talented chefs using top Indian culinary techniques. Taking only the best seasonal and local produce to create their dishes, Tapasya boasts itself to be an unforgettable dining destination on Hull’s Marina with the very best views, service and surroundings and although the price may be a little more than your average Indian, you won’t be disappointed!

Humber Street Distillery

Located in the heart of Hull’s fruit market, Humber Street Distillery Co. is the only bar in Yorkshire that features it’s very own in-house distillery. Pretty cool right? And if that’s not enough to persuade you to visit you might be interested in sampling one of the 100 different varieties of gin they have on offer or tasting their local and international craft beer menu. This vibrant spot can become busy so we’d recommend booking yourself a table if you’re heading there in a group.
