3) Hull Fair

Anyone from Hull knows the excitement of the run up to Hull Fair. This year it’ll be running from Friday 4th October until Saturday 12th, giving you plenty of time to go and enjoy the fun of the fair!

This year features the return of the XXL, a ride which first came to the fair in 2018 and is not for nervous attendees as it swings 45 metres high! Those with a less daring disposition need not worry, and can enjoy classic rides such as the Waltzers and the Dodgems or take a walk up Walton street to enjoy some of the tempting food stalls.

Nothing screams Hull Fair like eating Bob Carvers in the rain!

4) Visit one of the many museums Hull has to offer

Walk through a 1940’s street and enjoy a horse ridden carriage ride in the Streetlife museum. Get up close and personal with a polar bear and a woolly mammoth in the Maritime museum, or take the kids to ‘Eureka!’ for a hands-on learning experience, perfect for rainy days.

5) Enjoy a theatre performance

For the adults, the Rocky Horror Picture Show comes to Hull New Theatre from the 30th September. Whether you’ll dress up or not, it’s sure to be an incredible performance! For the kids, see the toe-tapping “Snow Dragon” in Hull Truck Theatre on October 30th. One night only so don’t miss out! There’s something for everyone, with comedy shows and tribute acts performing regularly throughout the later months.

Be careful not to get sentenced by the Judge or let the Plague Doctor get his hands on you!

7) The Deep

The Deep is an award winning aquarium home to 3,500 fish including jellyfish, sharks, turtles and a colony of Gentoo penguins. Go enjoy the daily dive shows and animal presentations, where you can see the divers hand-feed the animals, or join in with the touch pool sessions available in the Lagoon of Light.
